There's nothing really to say about this first song that isn't stated in the lyrics, other than it was indeed (at least at the time) my real-life view on being single. The only other thing I'll say about it is that towards the end I referenced Escape From Fear from the previous album.

What does being single mean?
To me it defines purgatory

Where is this “somebody out there” people talk of

Despite not being a lowlife criminal

Where my generation fucks me off with their immaturity
All these indignities are so much
That in general I prefer female company
