Skillet's Hero from their Awake album in 2009 really stuck in my mind when I first heard it on the 2009 video game WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010. I listened to that and another song Monster from the same album featured on the game, which WWE also had as the theme song for their first Hell in a Cell Pay Per View event that year, and Hero gave me just the dynamic I like in terms of a male voice going with a female voice. I also felt it was a good choice for WWE to have it as the theme song to the 2010 Royal Rumble just a few months later, and I couldn't stop playing it to myself.

This also made a good choice when finding a woman to collaborate with once again. I collaborated with a friend of mine Charlotte Collins who like Maria Contreras was always lovely to talk to when I was battling through the most depressing time of my life. She had told me of how well she knew the song, and I also knew of her experience in choir singing, so I felt it would add something original with her soft voice going alongside my rough voice.
