During early to mid 2014 when I found myself feeling lost and alone, I relied so much on the company of specific others. A certain incident from the previous year had also opened my eyes up further to who my real friends are and should be. Maria Contreras was a perfect pick for putting this way of thinking into a song, knowing her occupation as a psychological facilitator, as well as her creativeness in music and art. Plus, I had wanted to record with a woman for at least 16 months prior. Like I said, she was a perfect pick.
